First flight with the new MSFS in a 320 with the new paint job. Graphics are lovely, but wow it’s going to take a while to get the hang of the new cockpit controls. The approach was wild – no more automatic ATC to guide to waypoints. Will have to learn to use the flight computer more carefully. Final was a bit right of centre, landing was positive, but I don’t think I broke anything. Fellow walking around the gate as I tried to park would have made a mess of the engines when he got sucked in. |

Go around on first approach, then something went wrong with the autothrottle, so went around again, but this time got sent to Vermont before ATC lined me up again, then sent another plane 600' under the keel. ILS not great either. Finally forced her down and landed ok. Night time textures all screw-G. No buildings, no fuselage. Weird. Glad to shut down. |

Lost the ILS on final, so had to force her down and pull up hard. Landing was ok after the flare. Never-ending taxi after that - all the way around the airport. Glad to be done with that. |

Couldn't get second engine started again, so landed on one only. No harm done, but a little extra excitement for the day. |
